James Bennett started training in Kenpo karate and boxing in his native Ireland when he was a kid. Along the way he won various martial arts championships both nationally and internationally, along the way he’s studied and trained in a variety of martial arts. He parlayed his talent as a martial artist into movies making "Fatal Deviation", Ireland's first martial arts film to appearing along the likes of Jean Claude Van Damme, Dolph Lundgren, Steven Seagal and Mario Van Peebles to name a few. Urban Martial Combatives & Fitness headquarters in Los Angeles is the brainchild of James Bennett where he works out of and teaches an array of different combat systems such as Kenpo Karate, Boxing, FMA, Escrima, Silat to name a few.

    Supreme Grandmaster and of Pekiti Tirsia Kali, Grand Tuhon Leo T. Gaje Jr. is a 3-time Hall of Fame awardee, and Weapons Master Instructor across the globe. Grand Tuhon is the only Authorized Source of Pekiti Tirsia Kali.

    John Sepulveda, who has over 50 years experience in American Kenpo and holds an 10th Degree Black Belt (Master of the Arts). Mr. Sepulveda was one of a very few who was a direct student of Senior Grandmaster Parker.

    Joe Tan is the Grandmaster of Integrated Tapado Arnis Combat System. Grandmaster Tan has trained in and studied a variety of martial arts such as Muay Thai, Silat, Aikido and a variety of Filipino martial Arts.

  • Virgil Cavada

    Founder and Headmaster of Applied Eskrima, Master Virgil Orlanes Cavada was born in Cebu, Philippines in 1954. He began Martial Arts at age 15 and at 19, began his formal training in Eskrima. Virgil has over 43 years of experience in the combat system of Eskrima.

  • Dan Inosanto

    Dan Inosanto began training in martial arts at the age of 11. Inosanto holds Instructor or black belt level ranks in several martial arts. He is known for promoting the Filipino Martial Arts. He is responsible for bringing several obscure forms of the South East Asia Martial Arts into the public eye such as Silat, a hybrid combative form existing in such countries as Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines.

  • Samuel Kwok

    Samuel Kwok was born in Hong Kong 6th April 1948 He has spent over 50 years training and promoting the art of Wing Chun Kung Fu . He was trained by two sons of Ip Man and other students of GM Ip Man who was Bruce Lee's teacher. Samuel Kwok's aim is to protect and preserve Ip Man Wing Chun, to improve people's health and help people to apply the principle and philosophy of Wing Chun in life.

  • Frank Trejo

    Grand Master Trejo is a well-known celebrity in American Martial Arts. He started learning boxing with his grandfather, then he stepped into formal martial arts training when he joined a Shotokan studio back in 1966. Grand Master Trejo was the first kenpoist to take the first place in kumite and forms at the Long Beach International Karate Championships.

  • Ed Downey

    Eddie Downey began his Kenpo career in 1973 in Dublin’s famous Fitzwilliam Street Kenpo Academy under the late Professor John Conway and later with Professor Maurice Mahon in Baggot Street, Dublin. Master Downey is the international director of the Advanced Kenpo Training System (AKTS).
